Inside and Out

My mask shows myself on the inside and out. Flowers indicate joy, youth, and happiness. The red beads sprinkled around my mask symbolizes my boldness and curiosity. White and black beads surround almost all of my eye seeming like i want to be covered up and hidden which represent my insecurity but also my shyness. I have a couple of golden studs which also represent my boldness but also my pzazz, funnies and adventurousness. I didn't completely cover up my showing that I do have some confusion that no one else can answer and problems no one else can fix except me. On the inside of my mask I have some seashells with different shades brown and white from Italy which represent my happiness and calmness, like the ocean breeze. The beads decorated throughout my mask show I can be sensitive but at the same time have a perk of spontaneous and funniness which shines beyond my layers of skin. Some black beads put at the bottom of my mask represent a border of insecurity and defensiveness. The last thing I put on my mask is a pendent which represent my shadow of unknown knowledge I have yet to seek through my life time.

"child of the West"

Hey guys,
Today in my blog post I'm going to be talking about if I identify as a "child of the West". I don't identify as a "child of a West" because to mean it means like a cowboy, the west, ranches and farms. "child of the West" to me also means country music, western folks, and people with western Texas accents. I identify as a eastern child because for mean eastern child means the beach, sun, warmth and ocean, which is what I identify as.

hey guys,
What would you like to be remembered for? What would you want to teach your grandchildren?
75 years from now I would want my grandchildren to know that they should never give up on their dreams, no matter how hard it may seem to achieve it. Also I would want my grandchildren to remember that no one can take who they are away from them, be yourself. Life is an adventure, its amazing and short. So dive in head first and take risks. You only have one chance, so don't be afraid.

The Party

In "The party" by Herman Wouk, the protagonist Herbie is on a quest to find his love. Herbie's main pride is his hair, he styled it differently depending of the occasion, this occasion was a party he was invited to by his crush. When Herbie gets to the party, he is trying to find the courage to dance with his crush, Lucille but someone else decided to before he could get a chance. The book ends by him disappointed in himself driving home with his parents thinking that he lost his queen to someone else.

Herbie's most difficult situation was when he came back from the bathroom, from fixing his hair to see that his one true love was taken from someone else. Seeing your crush or what Herbie calls his Majesty dancing with someone else is heart breaking because it showed Herbie that she doesn't need him, she moved. After this situation Herbie was very disappointing in himself, and left the party feeling like a failure. I would feel the same way that Herbie did because Herbie was all excited and nervous for this party to be able to hang out with his crush, when he finally sees she doesn't like him back or at least not as much as he thought. Herbie finally opened up to his crush, to close his heart again and to feel like a failure.

My Revolutionary Change

Hey guys,

There are many ways to make the world a better place from what it is like now. The revolutionary change I would like to make would be that people wouldn't be unconformable in their own skin. They wouldn't compare themselves to others, and they would feel good on the inside and outside. Now a days there is a lot of people not being comfortable with who they are and how they look, which leads to health problems. Diversity is good, no one should be the exact same so don't go trying to fix yourself. Some people don't like who they are and try to change and fix themselves, but what they don't realize is they should be exactly who they are. The first step I think towards a better community and world would be to make everybody comfortable with who they are, what do you think?

Ale-topia

The perfect society in my opinion would be a place were everybody is nice, honest, healthy and everybody is welcome. Our purpose is to live life to the fullest, and never regret anything. Everybody is welcome as long as they respect the land and people. Education is very important but school would be different in my society, you would still learn the basic curriculum like math, history, English and science, but also you would learn real life experience. At school there would be less tests, quizzes and homework because while these forms of assessments are very helpful in the short run they cause more stress on the students, and don't allow them to experience the world for themselves.  Everybody can think and believe what they want to believe like religion, its a free world. Everybody is different meaning that everybody has a different way of expressing themselves which makes the world such a magnificent and diverse place. Houses and buildings would be different from one another, because like I said before architecture can be a way of expressing yourself which is different for everybody. In this world I would like everybody to be more open and communicate more with one another, this world would be more like a big community where people help one another, and cooperate for the well being of the society. I think getting together with your neighbors, friends or just your community in general and have a social gathering every month or so, with family games, sports, movies, so there is no separation, and everyone feels connected and included. In this perfect society for me government and politics would guarantee equality, safety, and freedom, so there would not be complete chaos and unfair treatment. Science would be fundamental and continue research and discoveries will ensure new ways to lead a better lifestyle. Even though we would have technology like we do now, it wouldn't be so much part of our daily life as it is now, but I also feel like this place would be more one with the land and we would try to keep it environmentally friendly so for our future generations there wouldn't be destruction of this earth. Also by keeping the environment in mind we would be taking from the land what we needed while being frugal, without depleting what nature has to offer us, so we could have more food and there will be no starvation for our future people.
